Fly Catch Chamber for H-Trap Horsefly Trap

The Catch Chamber for the Horsefly Trap is manufactured using Ultra Violet resistant plastic to ensure a long usable life in the field.

From 2019, the lid has a screw fit closure which ensures flies do not escape even if you drop the pot.

The Catch Chamber is 20cm tall (without lid) 20.5cm (with lid fitted) has a tapering form that is 16cm across the lid and 13.5cm across the base.

The Chamber fits a H-Trap metal holding ring which is 14.5cm diameter (top) 13.7cm diameter (bottom) and is 12cm deep. Our customers advise us that genuine H-Trap spares can fit other makes of horsefly traps but please check dimensions before ordering.

The chamber can be left dry and any captured flies will then desiccate.  Alternatively fill with water and add a drop of detergent to help break the surface tension and caught flies will then drown.  In this case, empty and wash the chamber frequently to avoid the water becoming stagnant.
